This program is designed for patients that have undergone weight loss surgery and are gaining weight back.  We understand this can be a frustrating thing and have designed a program to help you get "back on track".  If you did hot attend our comprehensive bariatric education program prior to your weight loss surgery this program is for you!

 

This program includes: 

 

STEP 1: Bariatric Nutrition Education Class

 

NOTE: You must attend the bariatric nutrition class before scheduling an individual consultation; as information discussed during consultation relates back to the information taught in the class.  

 

Our Bariatric Nutrition Education class contact our office for fees. You must attend this class before being seen for a consultation.  This class goes over eating habits, reading food labels, portion control, understanding the differences between: fat-free, low-fat, reduced fat and light foods, how to calculate whether or not a recipe or prepared food is considered low-fat using the information from the nutrition label, how to identify hidden sugars in foods, reducing/removing "empty calories' from your fluid intake, the importance of protein, mini-meal examples and more. This class primarily focuses on eating 1 year or longer after surgery and addresses all the reasons for weight regain and how to avoid these pitfalls going forward.  It also explains in detail the how, what, when, where, and why in all that is needed post surgery to be successful long term.  

 

FEE:  The fee for this class is $60.00 and due at the time of registration.  
MATERIALS: $25 for a digital copy via email, $35 for a printed hardcopy.

 

 

STEP 2 or 3: 1 Hour Initial Consultation

 

After you've attended the bariatric nutrition education class you may schedule a 1-HR initial consultation, contact our office for fees.  at this appointment Nancy will review your: eating patterns, 3-day food log, new patient questionnaire, determine your BMI, calculate your protein needs and make nutritional/lifestyle change recommendations based on what you have been taught at the nutrition class.

 

 

STEP 2 or 3: Bariatric Vitamin Class
 

After completion of the bariatric nutrition education class you can schedule a three hour Nutrition/Vitamin class, contact our office for fees (payment for the class is required prior to any associated materials being emailed to you, there is an additional fee for hard copies):  This class includes information on vitamin, mineral, and protein supplements, including purchasing information are discussed.  Vitamin deficiencies are real and can cause serious health issues; we see these issues on a regular basis in patients not following a post-surgery vitamin/supplement regimen.  Deficiencies can occur many years after surgery, and they are 100% preventable.  Our goal is to help patients achieve optimal health and prevent all of these avoidable complications with detailed education and support.  Also discussed are ways to avoid post-surgery complications that can happen at any time after your surgery such as dehydration, constipation, gas, etc. ​
